Shanghai Electric is expected to complete equipment delivery in the first half of this year for Shenergy&39;s massive single-unit 1350-MW Pingshan plant (phase II) in Huaibei, Anhui Province, and the site construction is in full swing.

The project, invested and built by Shenergy Group, is the world&39;s largest ultra-supercritical double-reheat unit with cross-compound at high/low position arrangement (CCHPLA) technology. It was recognized in 2016 as a national "251" thermal power demonstration project and is scheduled to come into business operation in 2020. Shanghai Electric is a turnkey supplier of its main engines, and the design and manufacturing of boilers and turbines are partially undertaken by international subcontractors.
