On the afternoon of February 27, David L. Gitlin, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Carrier Group, along with his delegation, visited Shanghai Electric, and held talks with Liu Ping, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shanghai Electric Group. Both parties reached a consensus on further deepening strategic cooperation and expanding collaborative domains.
David L. Gitlin expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended by Shanghai Electric. After a brief introduction to Carrier Group&39;s recent business plan and industrial development, he emphasized that Shanghai Electric is both a close strategic partner of Carrier, but also an extremely important customer. Over years of collaboration, a deep friendship and trust have been forged, laying a solid foundation for continued cooperation. As a global supplier of high-tech HVAC and refrigeration solutions, Carrier firmly believes that China&39;s sustained and stable economic growth will unlock more opportunities, showcasing the immense potential of the Chinese market. In the future, we aim to deepen and broaden our cooperation, continue to strengthen the ecosystem construction of smart carbon emission, create smart city and park solutions, enhance the capacity of joint ventures, and create first-class benchmark projects, and ultimately reach "Strategic Cooperation 2.0".
Liu Ping remarked that more than 30 years ago, on the basis of win-win cooperation and mutual respect, Shanghai Electric and Carrier Group began to join hands. Collaboration in areas such as manufacturing, distribution, service, and commercial air conditioning compressors has yielded fruitful results, forming a multi-faceted and deep-level cooperation pattern. In June last year, to achieve green and low-carbon development, both parties launched the “Strategic Cooperation 2.0”. Through collaborative efforts, several significant projects have achieved initial success. At present, "dual-carbon" initiatives have become integral to China&39;s modernization strategy, with green transformation accelerating into the "fast lane”. Shanghai Electric and Carrier Group have a high degree of complementarity and will certainly have a broader space for cooperation within the context of "dual-carbon" strategies. We hope that both companies “have a broader vision”. With excellent strategy and decision-making abilities, we can jointly drive the development of green and low-carbon industries, achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
Chen Ganjin, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, along with Saif Siddiqui, President of Carrier HVAC Asia-Pacific, and relevant personnel from both sides, attended the meeting.
