On the morning of June 25 local time, Wu Lei, Secretary of the CPC Committee and Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, held talks with Ahmet Eren, Founder of Türkiye’s EREN Group. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics including Türkiye’s current energy landscape and future planning, as well as opportunities arising from the Eurasian energy transition. They also reached consensus on further deepening collaboration in the next stage. Emir Eren, Chairman of the Board of EREN Group, and ?mer Bu?er, Chief Executive Officer of EREN Energy, also attended the meeting.

Wu Lei noted that EREN Group is a well-known energy enterprise in Türkiye and an important local strategic partner of Shanghai Electric. In recent years, Shanghai Electric has continued to increase investment in research and development, focusing on new energy, hydrogen-ammonia-methanol, and energy storage industries. The company has established an integrated industrial chain covering power generation equipment, complete energy storage systems, hydrogen production, EPC services, and operation and maintenance solutions, enabling it to provide full-cycle support for Türkiye’s low-carbon energy transition. He expressed hope that the two sides would establish a regular communication and coordination mechanism, integrate technological, industrial, and market resources, and carry out in-depth cooperation in areas such as nuclear power, upgrading and retrofitting of thermal power units, and new energy development, jointly advancing green energy demonstration projects.

Ahmet Eren stated that EREN Group has long focused on renewable energy development, low-carbon technology research and development, and sustainable industrial investment. Its business covers photovoltaic power, thermal and energy storage, biomass energy, and other sectors, while also actively expanding overseas low-carbon energy projects to support industrial decarbonization and efficiency improvement through clean energy technologies. He added that Shanghai Electric possesses deep technological expertise and strong system integration capabilities in high-end energy equipment manufacturing, making it a trusted partner. He expressed hope that both sides would take this meeting as a new starting point, accurately align cooperation needs, accelerate the implementation of collaborative projects, and jointly cultivate the global green energy market.

Heads of relevant functional departments and affiliated enterprises of both parties also attended the meeting.
