Recently, Asia&39;s first offshore wind power Service Operation Vessel (SOV) &39;Zhizhen 100&39; successfully completed the first domestic wind farm efficiency trial in the State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) Rudong H7 wind farm, which took three days and two nights. Prior to this, there were no such trial voyages in this field in China. With the successful trial voyage, Shanghai Electric has once again broken new ground and taken the lead in offshore wind power.
According to the trial voyage plan, a total of 16 functional tests were completed, including the wave compensation bridge connection wind turbine performance test, the operation and maintenance submersible wind turbine docking test, the SOV command and control system test, the intelligent marine system test, the auxiliary propulsion system test and the offshore crane performance test, which were all passed on the first attempt.
Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as &39;Shanghai Electric Wind Power&39;) owns two SOVs that integrate efficient, green, and intelligent operation and maintenance (O&M) capabilities. Initially designed by the Norwegian company Ulstein, these two SOVs were meticulously crafted by Shanghai Zhenhua Offshore Design and Research Institute. The construction officially started in September 2022 and was successfully completed in September 2023.
After the delivery of the SOVs, Shanghai Electric Wind Power will launch a professional SOV transportation plan, further serving the development of deep-sea offshore wind power in China, promoting the construction of five large-scale offshore wind power bases with the capacity of tens of millions of kilowatts, providing customized solutions, and providing customers with high-quality, timely, reliable and professional O&M services.
