Zhu stated that China is currently accelerating its energy transition, supported by vast application scenarios while placing greater demands on the reliability and cost-effectiveness of energy equipment. Shanghai Electric and Siemens Energy have worked together in the Chinese energy market for more than two decades. Looking ahead, Shanghai Electric hopes both sides can further break down barriers to technological collaboration and explore broader cooperation opportunities in areas such as gas turbines, wind power, power transmission and distribution, and green low-carbon energy. By leveraging their respective industrial expertise, the two companies aim to jointly build benchmark projects for the global energy market and provide green energy solutions that combine cost competitiveness with operational reliability for China and other developing countries, achieving greater mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

Bruch noted that the cooperation between Siemens Energy and Shanghai Electric has evolved beyond individual projects into a comprehensive collaborative system, spanning technology research and development to market implementation. He added that the global energy industry is currently facing new challenges arising from supply chain restructuring and accelerated technological evolution. Siemens Energy regards China as a strategically important region in its global innovation layout and looks forward to further deepening multi-scenario industrial collaboration with Shanghai Electric. By leveraging each side’s differentiated strengths in local market resources and global technological capabilities, the two companies aim to jointly address technological and implementation challenges in the energy transition process and inject sustained momentum into the global low-carbon energy transition through a long-term and stable partnership.

Jin Xiaolong, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Electric, and Yao Zhenguo, Senior Vice President of Siemens Energy and Chairman of Siemens Energy China, also attended the meeting.
